Argentine full back Cristian Ansaldi is set to be the subject of some late bids by West Brom and Queens Park Rangers, as Premier League sides aim to complete a deal before the transfer window closes in two days.

Ansaldi currently plays in the Russian league with Rubin Kazan and is one of the most highly rated players in the league. He has long been linked with a move to a bigger club and now it seems that the Barclays Premier League may beckon for Argentinian international.

Ansaldi normally plays at left back, but he is equally as comfortable on the right. Indeed it was his displays at right back where he really became noticed within European football when he faced off against fellow Argentine, Leo Messi, in the Champions League, where he performed admirably in try to contain the world's best player.

Both Steve Clarke and Mark Hughes have targeted Ansaldi as the perfect signing and may have to battle it out with each other in order to secure his services. No official bids have been made by either club as of late, yet who knows what could happen in what is always a crazy last few days in the transfer window.
