According to Sky Sports sources, midfielder Yossi Benayoun may be on his way out of Chelsea, in order to join Fulham for next season.
Benayoun is a likely bet to leave Stamford Bridge this summer, as he will probably not factor in to their plans for next season. The Israeli international spent last season on loan to Arsenal, and now that Roberto Di Matteo has brought in Marko Marin, Eden Hazard, and Oscar, Benayoun is all the more likely to be headed for the exits.
Fulham are looking to add the player on loan, with the hopes of signing him permanently in the future. Cottagers boss Martin Jol has wanted to bring Benayoun to Fulham for a while, and it seems now that the opportunity has presented itself.
If Benayoun is allowed to leave by Chelsea, we will likely see Jol make a move for the player, especially after Fulham lost Danny Murphy this summer. Clint Dempsey has also been rumoured to depart, so if this happens, a midfield signing would be necessary.
Benayoun, who has spent time in the Premier League with West Ham and Liverpool, is said to have attracted interest from a number of teams across Europe, and to currently be weighing his options.
