Rangers started brightly in this crutial match with some nice
one touch play with Akos Buzsaky and Jamie Mackie going close.
Swansea were trying to keep possesion and frustrate the r's.
Samba Diakite was going on surging runs deep into Swansea territory.
Samora was being fouled constantly with no reward.
As the first half progressed with Rangers having the lions share
of the play it seemed we were missing the killer instinct.
Swansea bringing the game down to their level and both teams
giving the ball away when a free-kick in the 46min from Adel Tarrabt
was defended out to Joey Barton who smacked it home to shut up the boo-boys.
The time of the goal being crutial, just before half time.
I love goals before half time if we can get them.
In the second half we closed down the ball and soaked up all the
Swansea pressure, the defence looking solid.
In the 55min Mackie scored a lovely goal using his shoulder to shimmy
a defender and tuck the ball away. Great stuff!
Swansea were going for it full steam now, Hill producing a brillient
save to keep Kennys sheet clean.
Then in the 67min the icing on the cake, a brillent strike from Akos
Buzsaky to seal the points, great goal. Three minutes later Nedum Onuoha
missed a screamer.
We held possesion and defended the last ten minutes well.
The Linesman hobbled off with a ice pack, was all too much for him.
We deserved this win and played well.
11 players, 3-0 thats the way to do it.
