Never mind the b*ll*cks we gotta beat Stoke!

David Reilly03 - May - 2012

While showing our normal away form, we did
what Man utd did to us at home, let a goal
goin in the first minute.
First minute goals and red cards usually
spell out doom for us and today was no different.
Sturridges goal was a lesson in keeping the near
post guarded.
After that things got a lot worse. Terry 2-0,
Torres 3-0 and 4-0. Head in hands time and only
25 minutes gone.
We looked very shaky in defence and bad passing
put paid to many chances of attacking.
At this stage I was accepting defeat and worring
about goal differance as this will probably be
a factor in who stays up and goes down.
Diakité and Taarabt were missed today. Mackie
looked lonley going on forward runs. It was a
bit mixed up and nothing was working.
In the second half Mackie had a good shot on
goal making Čech do some work. Mackie for me
has been the best player of the season.
Torres got his hat-trick in 64min and Malouda
made it 6-0 in the 80min Cisse pulled one back
in the 84min. This match is one to forget and
concentrate on Stoke.
With Spurs beating Bolton we have a chance.
Taarabt and Diakité should be back and we're
at home. I don't for a minute underestimate
Stoke. This would be a great six pointer.
With Man City probably needing to beat us
in the last match, this is a must win and
see what happens at Eastlands.
Fingers crossed!
