This summer's top 10 Prem transfer targets? Have your say

Nick Melia13 Jul 2012

As always in any transfer window, names are being thrown around like there is no tomorrow... but some of these names are bigger than others, players who could make a real impact on the Premier League. With many big transfers already completed, (Eden Hazard comes to mind) this is the top 10 list of (at least) semi-realistic transfer targets in the rest of this window.

10. Nilmar
Not known well by Premier League fans, the tricky forward has just been relegated with Villareal and could be a steal for a club who would like to take a punt to the tune of close to £10m. The striker has rumoured to be in United's hitlist.

9. Younes Belhanda
Liverpool and Manchester City are eyeing up the Moroccan, whose season at Montpellier has been fantastic, lifting the team to a league title. While former team-mate Giroud grabbed all the headlines, Belhanda's consistent performances have put him firmly in the shop window. A transfer to look out for.

8. Axel Witsel
Benfica's central midfielder may not be much of a goal threat, but definitely a player to catch the eye. A classy passer of the ball, the Portuguese club may be ready to cash in on their asset, sparking interest from both Chelsea and Manchester United. Real Madrid are also rumoured to be interested.

7. Yann M'Vila
Interest had apparently cooled with Rennes insisting they had no offers for their prize defensive midfielder. Arsenal are still likely to be interested, and if/when Van Persie does move on they may have the funds to take the plunge.

6. Mamadou Sakho
Arsenal and Newcastle look to pounce on PSG's defensive rock, being one of the key players in a good season for the rich French club. But with money no object to the Parisian club, a very sizable sum may be needed to prise Sakho from them. Would be a top signing.

5. Javi Martinez

Bilbao's defensive rock to complement their attacking substance, Martinez has been on the shortlists of many teams - including Barcelona. But with Wenger and Ferguson looking on in envy, will the pull of the Premier League be too strong for the Spaniard?

4. Joao Moutinho
Lined up as a replacement/alternative to Croat Luka Modric, the Porto midfielder has gained rave reviews in a great year for the Portugese playmaker. Composed and always looking for the killer pass, Spurs and Manchester United will have to break the bank to sign him.

3. Lucas Moura

19 years of age, 15 international caps, more than 100 competitive games for Sao Paulo. Stats speak volumes here and the winger/attacking midfielder has a buy-out clause of £67m. He could leave for around £35m, but with Chelsea's signing of Oscar only United look interested to take him to the Premier League. Real and Inter Milan are also keen.

2. Hugo Lloris
Spurs look to cement themselves near the top of the table with what would be a fantastic signing. The Lyon keeper has kept his No. 1 jersey for his native France with massive pressure from the gifted Marseilles shot-stopper Steve Mandanda. If the quoted figures of £13-16m are right, it could be a coup for the London side.

1. Hulk
Finally we come to the Brazilian who moves almost impossibly quick for such a bulky winger. 'Givanildo Viera de Souza' has a unbelievable knack for scoring and setting up goals, and with a rocket of a left foot he could be a Premier League goalkeeper's nightmare very soon. Chelsea look like they are still interested, but a deal is unlikely. But if it goes ahead, other clubs will be well warned of his capability.
