If he doesn't get the job, who will?

Roberto Di Matteo has done the "impossible". Winning the Champions League final and the FA cup final after finishing 6th in the Premier League shows team spirit and good tactical skill!

After taking over, Roberto has shown that he knows how to interact with each and every player in the squad. With players such as Cole, Lampard, Drogba and Cech, he used his brilliant tactical skills to beat a strong Bayern team.

Chelsea's road to the final was bumpy. They struggled against Napoli, but fought to win after a sensational recovery at home. Benfica were a constant threat, but Chelsea kept the advantage and got through the stage.

Then came Barcelona, massive favourites to reach the final stage, to face Chelsea. After a shocking result at Stamford Bridge, being pushed hard by Barcelona, hope came back to the team.

At Camp Nou they faced the worst possible start letting two goals into the net and Terry being suspended, but they never lost their winning spirit! Ramires turned the whole game around and scored a beautiful goal. After 45 minutes of rough defending and cynical play, Torres put the nail in Barcelona's coffin.

Bayern Münich also had a sensational victory in the semi finals. Winning at home and losing away with equal results meant penalties. The german team, known for never losing penalties, beat Real Madrid and advanced to meet, a statistically weaker opponent, Chelsea.

The odds were in Bayern's favour long before the final started. Chelsea were amputated with Terry, Ivanovic, Ramires and Meireles suspended. In addition, Cahill and Luiz were both injured and barely able to play the game. However, the team spirit was as good as always under Di Matteo. A cynical game once again from Chelsea forced Bayern not to score until 83 minutes had passed. Everything seemed dark for Chelsea, but then, 5 minutes later, on Chelsea's first corner of the game, a legend showed his face again. Didier Drogba made a massive header and scored a goal which made some Chelsea hearts skip a few beats. This meant extra time.

Chelsea were now a bigger part of the game, and Cech was without doubt to be the most important man of the extra time. Saving Robben's penalty kept Chelsea in the game, which died out a bit after the penalty and led the two teams to penalty showoff. Missing the first penalty, Mata was afraid he had already ruined the game, but it did not matter. Cech showed everyone why he is one of the very best keepers in the world, and why he has been the first choice for many years for both Chelsea and the national team. Barely touching the ball and forcing it into the post meant the second miss for Bayern and a chance for Drogba to send Chelsea to heaven, and who could ever even think he would miss. Didier Drogba stayed calm and gave his team and manager the trophy they've all been waiting for.

After an insane season, the question stand wether Roberto Di Matteo deserves the permanent job or not. Many speculations on Guardiola and others, but none have been in direct contact with Abramovich. Will he hire Di Matteo, or will he bring a new face to Stamford?

Personally, I feel Di Matteo deserves everything he can get in Chelsea. No one else could have done what he has done with this team with the situation they were in. He brought back the team spirit and won both the home cup and Champions League. What more could one wish for?
