Speculation is on the rise on who is going to Manchester United this transfer window. On top of the list are the English Premier League top goal scorer Robin Van Persie, Lucas Moura and Leighton Baines but who is needed the most by Manchester United for them to be able to conquer Europe and England again?
The writer will try to evaluate what will each of the transfer targets will offer to Manchester United and at the end make a decision on who must be bought by the Red Army.
Lucas Moura - I have really followed the lad up before the rumours began but without any doubt the young man is a huge talent. He will benefit Manchester United with his trickery, samba style and goal scoring ability. However can a 19 year old worth 30 million plus pounds? Another reason is the boy plays the same position as Shinji Kagawa, so is he needed?
Robin Van Persie - No need to say anything for this huge player. A top class striker who can fit into any team. He could cost Manchester United up to 30 million pounds and he is worthy every diam of it. But what will happen to Danny Welbeck and Chicharito when an automatic starter like Van Persie comes?
Leighton Baines - Patrice Evra's perfomances have declined during the past 3 seasons and its no surprise that fans are crying for an understudy or replacement for Evra. Now Fabio has beean loaned to QPR there is no proven substitute for Evra. I believe the likes of Brady should be given a chance to shine this season but a left back must be bought so as to give Evra some competionwhich may act as motivation.
The writer strongly believes that Robin Van Persie and Leighton Baines are the missing link at Manchester United. Van Persie and Rooney leading the while Welbeck and Chicharito providing supporting, I hear some saying that is stupid, am I right? Come on guys Cole, Yorke, Sherringham and Soskjaer in the treble winning season why not now? I hear some one condenming our midfield too but I see Kagawa giving the missing skill ,killer touches and most importanly midfield goals.
